Sisters

Molly, Kiersten, Carrie and I dashed out for a final fling before we lost the leaves.
The sun was just about to set and the breeze was getting chilly!
Of course, Mom had to be part of the fun!
A perfect portrait of the three lovely ladies!

Noah

This is Noah, a Senior at Center Place Restoration in Independence.

It was a beautiful fall day for capturing a few images.

Noah is very busy with basketball, soccer and drama at CPRS..

He's been accepted to UCM for the fall and is looking
forward to all the University has to offer.

Thanks so much for sharing your day with me, Noah and Kelli!

Dale Colborn

This is Dale!

He and his folks came from Norborne, Missouri for his session yesterday.

Fortunately for the ducks in the lagoon at Loose Park, Dale and his dad left their shotguns at home!

Playing trombone in the NHS band is one of millions of activities Dale enjoys.

He's also a Debate champion, active in church, and a very serious student.

Can't forget what a great bass player he is!

After graduation, Dale is headed for the University of Missouri, Rolla.  He will be studying Civil Engineering.

Enjoy your senior year, Dale!   Good luck at Rolla!

Katie and Ty

Meet Katie . . .

and Ty.

We had a beautiful morning for an engagement session.

There was a lot of competition for the few trees that have turned.
We ran into tons of photographers with their clients.

Can't wait for the New Year's Eve wedding!  Congratulations!

The Wall That Heals

Bryan, Dan and I went to Blue Springs yesterday to see the traveling Vietnam Veteran's Memorial.

This gentleman was putting a young boy at ease by telling him about his "bionic leg."

This is Henry G. Mundt, II.  Many such memorials were to be found along the wall.

Dan stopped to study the "Fallen Comrades POW MIA" display.

Searching for names.
The total number of names on the wall is 58,267.  Of those, 1200 are listed as missing - either POW or MIA.
This gentleman is the last of his unit.  The brother of one of his fellows
presented him with a poster depicting the Fredrick Hart statue, "Three Servicemen"
which stands at the Wall in Washington, DC.    The poster was signed by the designer
thanking him for his service.

Here he is photographing the name of his fallen comrade.

In honor of SFC David A. Woods, who fell 11/1/67, an authenic 1960 bottle of
Schlitz, a pack of Lucky Strikes, and a flag were left as a tribute.

One of my favorite organizations, The Patriot Guard, escorts the traveling memorial from town to town.  They came from Nebraska to Blue Springs, and are heading out to Oklahoma tomorrow.

This member of the Guard gave us a lot of great information and was very
helpful to us.  If you ever have the opportunity to see the traveling wall, please do.
